Why Don't Agents and Editors Respond?

Several readers have emailed me recently, asking why agents and editors haven't responded to their emails. Here's an article on this very subject, written by author and mentor extraordinaire, Mary DeMuth. I couldn't have said it any better...so I won't even try!

Writing Opportunities!

1.     Love is a Flame anthology deadline is December 15! New book coming out with Bethany House needs your story. Guidelines here.

2.     Ever thought about writing a screenplay? We have several screenwriting contests for adults and qualified teens at the Gideon Media Arts Conference and Film Festival. Check out the details here. 

3.     I have the needs list from the editor of LIVE! know I've posted LIVE guidelines in the past, but now you can check out the actual needs list here and then respond according to the guidelines.

4.     SEEK magazine looks for stories that will demonstrate the scripture lessons in the adult curriculum.

5.     Encounter Magazine for teens. 

6.     Enrichment: A Journal for Penecostal Ministry writer's guidelines here.

7.     KEYS for Kids needs kids stories with a spiritual application. Check out the guidelines. 

8.     And don't forget, Chicken Soup is always looking for stories. Here's a list of their upcoming needs and deadlines. 

Many Christian Writer's Den readers have been published because of the list of writing opportunities offered every month. I know because I've heard from many of you! If you've ever had anything published or placed in a contest listed here, would you send me a quick email? It would be a joy to see what God has done!
